Error description

  • DFHCSDUP ran with userprogram(dfh0forc) eg
    EXTRACT GROUP(xxxxx) USERPROGRAM(DFH0FORC) OBJECTS
The output showed an error in the output string for MQMONITOR.
Transaction field had been 'lengthened' to 8 bytes.
Userid field had been truncated to 4 bytes.
The order of the above fields was also reversed. This would not
be matching with the expected load input order for Db2 table
    MQMONITOR as per DFH$DB2T.
Looking at DFH0FORC Cobol program showed the problem. Once the
fields were reversed, program recompiled/linkedited, this
resolved the output string order and length.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFH0FORC is extracting MQMonitor *
    * records with fields in the wrong order. *
    ****************************************************************
DFH0FORC is used to extract CSD records to then be loaded into
a DB2 table. The MQMonitor record definition in DFH0FORC has
the USERID and TRANSACTION fields coded in the wrong order.
This results in the extract of the CSD record having too many
characters making up the TRANSACTION field and the USERID field
    being truncated.

Problem conclusion

  • DFH0FORC has been updated to correct the definition of the
    MQMonitor record.
