Error description

  • Description:
    
    Creating a New Risk Assessment for example, under Other Business
    Entity, a user can select multiple objects. If after selection,
    the user cancels the action, the chosen entities are shown in
    the creation view as associated.
    
    Prerequisites:
    
    Ensure Sys-View-New-RiskAssessment creation view is set as the
    default for the Risk Assessment object
    1.	Log into the Task UI as admin user
    2.	Navigate to Settings > Manage Views
    3.	Check the Include System Views box
    4.	In the Search enter criteria ?RiskAssessment?
    5.	Check  that the Sys-View-New-RiskAssessment is set to be
    Priority 1 and Published, Enabled and default are all set to
    true
    
    
    Steps to Reproduce:
    
    1.	Log into OpenPages via supported browser as admin user
    2.	In Task UI, navigate to Assessments > Risk Assessments
    3.	Click Add New button
    4.	Enter a name e.g Test Risk
    5.	Enter some text in Description field
    6.	Select a Primary Business Entity
    7.	Under Other Business Entity Click Select
    8.	Select two business entities and click Cancel
    9.	The chosen entities are shown as associated even though
    Cancel was selected
    
    
    
    Expected Results:
    
    If the action to Cancel multiple associations is selected, the
    chosen entities are not shown as associated to the object.
    
    Actual Results:
    
    If the action to Cancel multiple associations is selected, the
    chosen entities are shown as associated to the object.

Problem conclusion

  • Every time you clicked on a row, the associated field was being
    updated which was a problem because cancel did not undo
    anything. Now we are cloning the original list so changes only
    take effect when you click done.
    
    Customers should download OpenPages 8.2 from Passport Advantage.
