Error description

  • The native JSON parser allocates heap storage from the GUDSA.
If above the bar storage is constrained and no GUDSA has been
allocated then tasks that trigger native JSON parsing are
suspended in a GUDSA wait with DFHSM0606 and DFHSM0143 issued.

    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DFHSM0606 issued when native JSON *
    * parsing attempts to allocate PIJPHEAP *
    * storage. Tasks suspend in GUDSA waits. *
    ****************************************************************
The native (non-Java) JSON parsing logic is executed to convert
JSON into application data. DFHPIJP1 attempts to obtain
PIJPHEAP TASK64 storage for use as an internal working area.

If no prior tasks have caused the GUDSA to be allocated and
there is no 1GB above the bar area available the task will
suspend in a GUDSA wait and message DFHSM0606 will be issued.
If the problem persists DFHSM0143 messages will also be issued.

This problem could also occur if all existing GUDSA storage was
in use and there was inadequate storage to extend the GUDSA.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHPIJP1 has been changed to allocate the PIJPHEAP storage from
PI domain storage in the GCDSA as this storage is used for
internal CICS processing and is not available to user programs.
