Error description

  • The sockets domain dump formatter summary section displays the
number of the task that owns each socket. This information is
correct if a task is currently using the socket (and has issued
    a DFHSOCK ESTABLISH call).

If the socket is currently reserved for a task that is about to
run then the dump formatter should be displaying that task
number. However, a task number of 00000 is displayed instead.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SO domain dump formatter may display *
    * the owning task for a socket *
    *                      incorrectly.                            *
    ****************************************************************
The CICS dump formatter for the sockets (SO) domain provides a
summary table of information for each active socket. One of the
fields provided is the owning task number. In the case where a
socket has been reserved for a task which has not yet started
(e.g. task is held for TCLASS or MXT or waiting for initial
dispatch), the task number is displayed as 00000 instead of the
    correct number.

Problem conclusion

  • The dump formatter has been updated to display the correct task
number when a socket has been reserved for a task that has not
    yet started.
