Error description

  • The environment variable MQSI_SYSLOG_COMPATIBILITY_FORMAT which
reverts the formatting of syslog messages to the style used in
WMB v8 and earlier is not documented in the Knowledge Center.

All users of IBM Integration Bus v10 and App Connect Enterprise
v11 who have migrated from a WMB v8 or earlier environment.


Platforms affected:
AIX, HP-UX Itanium platform, Linux on Power platform, Linux on
x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform, Solaris x86-64
platform, Solaris SPARC platform, z/OS

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The format of messages written to the syslog or the z/OS
operator console was changed at IIB v9. The environment variable
MQSI_SYSLOG_COMPATIBILITY_FORMAT can be set to revert to this
deprecated behaviour. This environment variable is not
documented in the Knowledge Center.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQSI_SYSLOG_COMPATIBILITY_FORMAT environment variable is now
documented in the Knowledge Center.
