Error description

  • When ZPARM DDL_MATERIALIZATION = ALWAYS_IMMEDIATE is set, an
    ALTER to a column definition means that the change is
    immediate. In a case where change includes a conversion
    from a classic partitioned tablespace to a UTS PBR tablespace,
    and an Alter to a column definition, Object Comparison Tool
    generates the conversion to the UTS PBR, an online reorg, and an
    ALTER COLUMN SET DATA TYPE. An additional reorg is required
    after this ALTER, however, for otherwise the unique index may
    be left in REBUILD-pending (RBDP) status.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When multiple ALTER statements *
    * are generated for the same table space *
    *                      consecutively, with an in-place REORG   *
    * between them, Object Compare does not *
    * generate a REORG to be run after the *
    * last ALTER. This missing REORG might *
    * leave the table space in a *
    *                      REORG-pending state.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    When ZPARM DDL_MATERIALIZATION = ALWAYS_IMMEDIATE, altering a
    column definition is an immediate change. The source contains
    conversion from a classic partitioned table space to a UTS PBR
    table space and an ALTER to a column definition. Object
    Compare generates a conversion to UTS PBR, an online REORG,
    and an "Alter Column Set Data Type". The last ALTER must be
    followed by a REORG statement, because altering the data type
    might place the unique index in REBUILD-pending (RBDP) status.
