PH20510: RESUMED TASK UNABLE TO OBTAIN SOLOCK

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You have a task waiting for the SOLOCK exclusively and even
  though it has been resumed multiple times it always fails to
  obtain the lock.
  
  The task needs the lock due to the DFHSOIS SET call in
  wbcm_update_tcpipservice_stats. This causes sois_set to be
  executed which runs set_tcpip which gets the SOLOCK
  exclusively, which is unnecessary.

  *                      processing because of contention on the *
  *                      SOLOCK.                                 *
  ****************************************************************
  Contention for the SOLOCK causes delays during WEB SEND
  processing because a DFHSOIS SET REQUEST_STATISTICS ( YES ) call
  obtains the SOLOCK in EXCLUSIVE mode unnecessarily.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFHSOIS SET processing has been changed so that the SOLOCK is
  only obtained when strictly necessary.
