Error description

  • A CICS CM MIGRATE writes CICS resources to a DFHCSDUP-format
    export file. A URIMAP resource definition specifies the
    attribute HOST(*). The splitting of HOST(*) on line 000002 at
    column 71 results in the continuation line 000003 commencing
    with an asterisk (*), as illustrated below (redacted, columns
    condensed to fit):
    .
    =COLS> ----+----1----+----2----+----3 ... 6----+----7--
    000001 ALTER URIMAP(xxxxxxxx) DESCRI  ... xxxxxxxxxxxx*
    000002 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) STATUS(E ... HTTPS) HOST(*
    000003 *) PATH(/xxxxxxx/xxxxxxxx) MED ... ODEPAGE() TE*
    000004 MPLATENAME() HFSFILE() TCPIPSE ... ONVERTER() T*
    000005 RANSACTION(xxxx) PROGRAM(xxxxx ... USERID(xxxxx*
    000006 xx) CERTIFICATE() CIPHERS() LO ... ORT() ATOMSE*
    000007 RVICE() AUTHENTICATE() SOCKETC ...
    000008 GROUP(xxxxxxxx)
    .
    Line 000003 is treated by the DFHCSDP utility as a comment
    line. The processing of this input leads to DFHCSDUP
    processing errors:
    .
    DFH5215 E COMMAND NOT EXECUTED. A CLOSING PARENTHESIS HAS
     BEEN OMITTED FROM A NULL VALUE SPECIFIED ON AN ALTER COMMAND.
    DFH5222 E COMMAND NOT EXECUTED.
     'GROUP' KEYWORD WAS OMITTED OR SPECIFIED INCORRECTLY.
    DFH5103 I ERROR(S) OCCURRED WHILE PROCESSING ALTER COMMAND.
    .
    .
    .
    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVSVR

Local fix

  • Manually remove the HOST(*) parameter and have it coded at the
    end to solve the problem.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS Configuration Manager is corrected to format the records
    to where possible hold one or more complete keyword/value.
    Only if a single keyword/value combination exceeds the record
    length will a continuation be used.
