Error description

  • Abend 0C4 RC=11 in EQQUPTOP while the parsing of the USRINFO
member is scanning the first comment row.

The problem is due to a variable not properly initialized.
The abend can or cannot occur according to the fact that the
area preceeding the area where the USRINFO member read content
is loaded, is used (such as in customer case) or it is free.
If it is used the S0C4 is occurring.

Running EQQBENCR sample, an Abend 0C4 RC=11 occurs in EQQUPTOP
while parsing the USRINFO member.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The ABEND could occur while scanning the first USRINFO row, in
case it contains a comment.
The problem is due to a variable not properly initialized.
The ABEND can or cannot occur, according to the fact that the
area preceding the area where the USRINFO content was loaded,
is used or is available.
