    The CICSPlex SM BAS component should be able to use all
    available BAS data space storage by spreading large resource
    deployment lists for BAS across multiple data spaces instead of
    being constrained to a single data space. This feature will be
    disabled by default in CICS TS 5.4 and CICS TS 5.5 and can be
    enabled by setting the feature toggle
    com.ibm.cics.cpsm.bas.largecicsplex=true in all CMAS regions.

    This capability is also available on
    CICS TS 5.6 with APAR PH26781.

Problem conclusion

  • The CICSPlex SM BAS component has been updated to interact with
    new support in the CHE component for Cache List structures which
    can span across more than one data space.

    This feature will be disabled by default in CICS TS 5.4 and
    CICS TS 5.5 and can be enabled by setting the feature toggle
    com.ibm.cics.cpsm.bas.largecicsplex=true in all CMAS regions.

    The CICS TS for z/OS for V5.4 and V5.5 Knowledge Center has been
    updated to reflect these changes.
