APAR status

Error description

  • z/OS STAP for Db2 generating ABEND 0C4 caused by incorrect
length for Db2 Utility event text.

Local fix

  • Disable monitoring of Db2 Utilities by removing the DB2
UTILITIES selection from the COMMANDS filter in all rules of the
activated policy

Problem summary

Due to the issue in logic the length of Utility text may not be
calculated correctly and there could happen abends in IBM
Security Guardium S-TAP for Db2 on z/OS started task or in Db2.

Problem conclusion

  • Logic is changed to copy utility text correctly.
