Error description

  • IMS directory data set is allocated when NOTIFY.REORG is issued
if the CATALOG name is registered in RECON header even if IMS
    Managed ACBs is disabled.
If neither CATALOG nor NOCATALG option is specified in
NOTIFY.REORG, IMS determines whether to use an IMS catalog or
DBDLIB according to the CATALOG information in the RECON header.
IMS allocates the IMS directory data set when using the IMS
    catalog.

Problem conclusion

  • The Reorg Expert has been modified to issue a NOTIFY.REORG
command with the NOCATALG option when IMS Managed ACBs is
disabled and the catalog name is registered in the RECON header.
