    ABSTRACT
Performance degradation due to STORAGE OBTAIN/RELEASE processing

    ERROR DESCRIPTION
If processing for an editproc routine built using the
encryption/compression router routine DECENADV is terminated
    due to an
ABEND unrelated to the editproc, such as an ABEND222 or
    ABEND13E, an
element allocated from a cell pool may not be returned for
    reuse, and
becomes orphaned (allocated but no owner).

The cell pool is allocated in DB2 DBM1 private storage with a
    fixed
number of elements (to prevent excessive storage use). If
    enough
elements are orphaned the exit is forced to issue STORAGE
    OBTAIN and
RELEASE requests, which may impact performance until the DB2
    subsystem is recycled.
