    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A connection that is processed to be *
    * destroyed can in some cases result in *
    *                      additional errors.                      *
    ****************************************************************

    ****************************************************************
    The following error can occur,
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: getManagedConnection: illegal
    state exception. State = STATE_INACTIVE MCW = d3ce17fb
    at
    com.ibm.ejs.j2c.MCWrapper.getManagedConnection(MCWrapper.java:68
    0)
    at
    com.ibm.ejs.j2c.FreePool.getMCWrapperFromMatch(FreePool.java:128
    when a connection is being used on one thread, but on another
    thread being destroy due to a connection failure.

Problem conclusion

  • This will reduce the number of failures being logged by
    processing failed connections faster when multithreaded access
    occurs to the same managed connection.
