*                  embedded and standalone WebSphere           *
*                  Customization Toolbox on Linux x86-32 and   *
*                  using Java 8.                               *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When launching the graphical tool a     *
*                      JVM crash with Exit code 255 is         *
*                      encountered.                            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
There is a conflict with the underlying Eclipse x86-32
platform and with a JDK higher than Java 8 SR5 FP25 (i.e the
JDK provided in 8.5.5.16)

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Eclipse platform is updated for the Linux x86-32 distribution
for standalone and embedded WebSphere Customization Toolbox.

The fix for this APAR is targeted for inclusion in fix pack
8.5.5.17.
