Error description

  • New installations of UCD 7.0.4.0 on mysql or mariadb will create
columns of type BLOB instead of LONGBLOB. This causes BLOBS
greater than 64k in size to be truncated to fit the 64k limit.

This is most noticeable when running deployments. If the
wf_workflow blob surpasses 64k, such as if the deployment
references a lot of components or properties, then the workflow
will fail to be deserialized from the database and the
    deployment will fail.

This issue does not affect customers that upgrade to 7.0.4.0, or
customers that are installing a new UCD server on a database
    other than mysql or maria.

Local fix

  • Alter all columns that are currently type "blob" to be of type
    "longblob"

The tables in UCD that have a column of type blob are:
    wf_workflow, wf_dispatched_task, ds_plugin_task_request,
    rt_command
