• Setting the EclipseLink persistence property
  'eclipselink.jdbc.sql-cast' in persistence.xml does not get
  detected and does not change behavior.

  EclipseLink was not applying the value of the persistence
  property 'eclipselink.jdbc.sql-cast'. This fix allows the
  value to apply as originally intended.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR changes the EclipseLink implementation
  and involves an update to the third-party source. See

  This fix is currently targeted for WebSphere Application
  Server 9.0.5.3 and WebSphere Liberty 19.0.0.11. For
