Error description

  • If Caching proxy configuration contains "DirListingDisable"
    directive, Caching Proxy print following error:
    
    The
    configuration directive is not valid: dirlistingdisable
    

Local fix

Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED:  Users of IBM Caching Proxy 8.5.5, 9.0.      *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DirListingDisable is being reported     *
    *                      as an invalid directive even though it  *
    *                      works as expected.                      *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When using the DirListingDisable directive, the following error
    is being reported: "The configuration directive is not valid:
    dirlistingdisable".
    The directive still works as expected despite the error.
    

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Caching Proxy was fixed to recognize DirListingDisable as
    a valid configuration directive.
    
    The fix is tentatively targeted for the following IBM Caching
    Proxy fixpacks:
    - 9.0.5.3
    - 8.5.5.17
    

Temporary fix

  • Ignore the error message stating that DirListingDisable is not
    valid. It still works as intended despite the error.
