APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer accidentally ran the BBOWMPRO job on the wrong system.
This means that during execution of bbomigrt2.sh, the system
name is returned as XXXX (as returned by bbo3nme.exe), but
variables.xml contains system name YYYY. This causes the script
to fall through an IF statement and end with:
    "Configuration
Mismatch. You have not specified a Federated WAS Home Validaion
of Environment Failed. Correct Variables and Re-Try"

Local fix

  • Use SYSAFF= on the job card to make sure that you execute the
job on the correct system within the sysplex.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Migration did not recognize that it *
    * was being run on the wrong system. *

    ****************************************************************
The generated jobs were uploaded to the wrong system. The
bbomigrt2.sh script had code errors which did not catch the
system misatch. Then when the profile creation ran it was not
able to provide the correct input parameters.

Problem conclusion

  • The script has been corrected to allow the system check to
issue a message that the migration is being run on the wrong
system. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for
inclusion in fix pack 9.0.5.2 and 8.5.5.17. Please refer to
