PH17989: ABENDU114 DURING AN UNLOAD INVOLVING THE INDEXSCAN FEATURE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ABENDU1114 occurs during a logical unload involving a SELECT
  statement specifying an ORDER clause. This occurs if the
  following conditions are fullfilled:
  - the indexscan feature is involved, which requires the
  following conditions to apply:
     + the unload is run in native mode
     + the ORDER clause is elligible for indexscan feature (i.e.
  either the ORDER CLUSTER clause is specified or the columns of
  the clustering index key matches the ORDER clause)
     + nothing disables the indexscan feature (INDEXSCAN NO is not
  specified)
  - the clustering index key contains a VARGRAPHIC column which is
  not the first column of the key
  

Local fix

• Either disable the indexscan feature by adding the INDEXSCAN NO
  option or run the unload in SQL mode by specifying the DB2 FORCE
  option.
