Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running DFHCSDUP to change a * * TCPIPSERVICE resource to * * SSL(ATTLSAWARE) and the resource * * contains the PRIVACY option, error * * message DFH5503 is issued and the * * DFHCSDUP job stops. * **************************************************************** When running with DFHCSDUP to set the SSL option to ATTLSAWARE and the TCPIPSERVICE resource already specified the PRIVACY option then message "DFH5503 E COMMAND NOT EXECUTED. PRIVACY OPTION CONFLICTS WITH SSL(ATTLSAWARE) OPTION AND IS IGNORED" is issued, and the run of DFHCSDUP ends.
Problem conclusion
DFHSPSOV has been changed to issue a warning message DFH5502 W SSL(ATTLSAWARE) IMPLIES PRIVACY(NO). The run of DFHCSDUP continues and processes the rest of the commands. Message DFH5502 has been amended in the CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V5.4 and V5.5. The message explanation for DFH5502 now reads as follows: The value xxxxxxxx specified in a DEFINE or ALTER command has caused another value yyyyyyyy, which is not a normal default, to be assumed.
