APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After selective migration from an ND cell to a standalone
  server, the previously enabled SIB service on the server is
  disabled.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After ND to Base migration,             *
  *                      Applications using SIB buses on Base    *
  *                      server fail to access the buses.        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  As part of the ND to Base migration, code was erroneously
  added to WASPostUpgrade to disable the SIB service on the
  server being migrated. This only occurs when performing a
  migration from a federated node to a standalone server running
  in WAS Base, it does not affect any other migrations.
  

Problem conclusion

• The erroneous disablement was removed, so SIB services enabled
  on a federated node will remain enabled on the resulting
  standalone server.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 9.0.5.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
  page for delivery information:

Temporary fix

• Manually re-enable the SIB service after migration.
