Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: TAI method * * negotiateValidateandEstablishTrust() * * called twice by Liberty. * **************************************************************** A custom TAI (TrustAssociationInterceptor) is developed to map a distributed identity and issuer to a local ESM account with a different name. When processing the TAI, Liberty calls negotiateValidateandEstablishTrust twice. This call is redundant and if the method returns a different response on the second call this can cause authentication errors. This was raised as Open Liberty issue 8152.
Problem conclusion
CICS TS has been updated to use a Liberty JVM server that is based on WebSphere Liberty Version 19.0.0.12. This version of Liberty contains the fix for Open Liberty issue 8152 which resolves the problem.
