**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Network * * Deployment Load Balancer for IPv4 and IPv6 * * on AIX * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Load Balancer for IPv4 and IPv6 * * will not forward requests from the * * local client * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If cluster requests initiate from a client collocated on the same machine as the load balancer (on AIX), the load balancer will not forward the requests.
Problem conclusion
Load Balancer for IPv4 and IPv6 on AIX has been corrected to forward requests from collocated clients. The client must bind to a real IP address on the machine. If requests come from a cluster or returnaddress IP, they will be deemed in error and not forwarded. Fix levels: 8.5.5.17 9.0.5.2
