Error description

• The packets received from the local host do not have the IP
  ether type set in the MAC header so the transmit of the packet
  fails.

  If cluster requests initiate from a client collocated on the
  same machine as the load balancer (on AIX), the load balancer
  will not forward the requests.
  

Problem conclusion

• Load Balancer for IPv4 and IPv6 on AIX has been corrected to
  forward requests from collocated clients. The client must bind
  to a real IP address on the machine. If requests come from a
  cluster or returnaddress IP, they will be deemed in error and
  not forwarded.
