Error description

  • Environment: z/OS V2.1 IMS V15 DVM V1.1 DVM studio build 1.1.28
Software Configuration: DVM studio - DVM - IMS DRA/CCTL - HDAM
DB Symptom: SELECT query that accesses a child segment without
key-field generates an invalid SSA, when its WHERE clause scans
the first field of the segment. As a result, the access fails.

Detail: We have tried to access a dependent segment which has no
sequence field nor unique field. The problem occurred when
searching by the first column of the table, which represented
the first field of the segment. Without scanning the first
column, queries worked.

Our PSB trace seems that there was a trouble while generating SS
SELECT query that accesses a child segment without key-field
generates an invalid SSA, when its WHERE clause scans the first
field of the segment.
As a result, the access fails.
