APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Adding a new column that is NOT NULL with no DEFAULT and
  SPANNED YES to a table with BLOB columns. Hence an unload
  with 'SPANNED YES' got generated and then a drop, create
  and a load. The load fails with:
     DSNU323I - COLUMN '<newcol>' IS OMITTED

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS    *
  *                 who use ALT on tables with LOB columns.      *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When ALT is used to add a new column    *
  *                      defined with 'not null', to a table     *
  *                      with BLOB columns, an unload with       *
  *                      'spanned yes' is generated, followed    *
  *                      by a drop, create and a load. The load  *
  *                      fails with 'column is omitted'.         *
  ****************************************************************
  Load fails if a Not Null No Default column is added to a table
  with XML/LOB columns and UNLOAD SPANNED YES is specified. The
  error occurs when trying to do ALT on a table with LOB columns
  and adding a not null no default column.
  The issue is seen ONLY when ALL of the below conditions exist.
  
  - ALT on a table containing LOB columns, adding new integer
  column as "Not Null No Default" (NNND)
  - Analysis options on panel ADBPALT:
         Utility control options:
          Use utility options . . . YES (Yes/No)
          UO command --> U (Unload) --> ADB2USU:
          SPANNED . . . . . . . YES (Yes/No)
