APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Currently, the parm validate_wsl cannot be used in CM Batch
    together with action_generate_wsl = 'Y'.  As a result, when
    a column that belongs to a secondary index is dropped from a
    table, CM Batch may still try to create the secondary index
    as it was before. This may result in a SQLCODE -204 /
    SQLCODEN204 error at run time.

    With this fix applied, users will be able to set validate_wsl =
    'Y' together with action_generate_wsl = 'Y', so that
    an error like this can be flagged.

    ****************************************************************
    Validate_wsl does not work when running with
    action_generate_wsl=Y instead of action_analyze_change. The
    result could be that CREATE INDEX DDL is generated with a column
    that no longer exists. When this command is executed, a
    SQLCODE -204 / SQLCODEN204 error may result.

    With this fix applied, Validate_wsl=Y can be used with
    action_generate_wsl=Y.
