APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A user changes and executes an existing query. After this, the
    user clicks on a column to sort all query results in the result
    set window. The result set of the sorted result is based on the
    saved query and not on the current changes in the open query
    window. This happens when the sorting method is set to Entire
    Result Set.
    
    This issue is seen only in ClearQuest web 9.0.1.7 and not in
    previous versions.
    
    Steps to Reproduce
    
    Login with a user account to ClearQuest web.
    Go to Preferences -> Result Set -> Sorting Method -> Change to,
    Entire Result set.
    Open an Existing Query.
    In the Result Set Window, edit the query and add a new field.
    Run the Result set without saving the query.
    This will display the expected output in the Result Set.
    Sort the query results based on a column and the changes made to
    the query disappears and result set goes back to the saved query
    state.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available 9.0.1.11 and 9.0.2.3.
    If a ClearQuest Web user edits an existing query and clicks on a
    column to sort all query results in the result
    set window, the result set now displays correctly.
