PH15912: PREVENT CPU INCREASE IF ONLY CHIN ASID IS RESTARTED AFTER APPLY OF APAR PH04893 19/10/01 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the fix for APAR PH04893 (V9 - UI60516 & V9.1 - UI60517)
  is applied and afterwards only the CHIN ASID is restarted,
  the high CPU issue is not fully resolved. Both MSTR and CHIN
  ASID's must be restarted for the fix to be 100% effective.
  Therefore, this APAR is created as a PE against PTF UI60517 to
  fully resolve the high CPU issue in the case where only the CHIN
  ASID is restarted after the apply.

  Problem occurs when APAR PH04893 has been applied and only
  the channel initiator has been restarted, and not the Queue
  Manager address space itself.
  

Problem conclusion

• Additional condition logic has been added to cater for when the
  channel initiator has been restarted but not the Queue Manager
  address space when the original fix/APAR has been applied.
