APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • You upgrade to CICS 5.5, and find that your region userid is
now invoking transaction COSH during shutdown, and you receive
    a DFHAC2003 and DFHXS1111 message.
    .
COSH is used to terminate the CPSM MAS agent code. Invoking
COSH during shutdown was added at CICS 5.5 to help speed up
region termination time. It has had unintended consequences
    though.
    .
This early shutdown is also preventing customers from running
CPSM API programs during PLTSD processing, since CPSM is no
longer active in the region by that time.
    .

    .

Local fix

  • For the security issue, temporarily allow your CICS region
userid to access the COSH transaction.
For running CPSM API programs during shutdown, there is no
    current workaround.

Messages DFHXS1111 and DFHAC2003 issued during shutdown
processing after upgrading to CICS 5.5.

Additionally issuing COSH in DFHSTP has shutdown the MAS agent
code before PLTSD processing so CPSM API requests are failing.

Problem conclusion

  • The system termination program no longer attaches the COSH
transaction. DFHSTP will close WLMHEALTH, preventing CICSPlex
SM from routing more work to this target region.
