Error description
Customer may encounter performance issue or an outage with one particular node running out of resources even when there is enough memory avilable on the other nodes. The below error message is seem on a particular node. "There are not enough system resources to process the request. The request cannot be processed. SQLSTATE=57011 SQLCODE=-10003" The db2pd -dbptnmem output will show excessive memory usage in the FMP_RESOURCES pool on that particular node. Also the bigsql-sched-recurring-diag-info.log shows significantly more splits for that worker. This is because customer is running lots of small scans which get assigned to one worker node only. This APAR will fix this issue and distribute the smaller splits.
Local fix
Customer should avoid running smaller scans simultaneously.
