Error description

• When using an Eclipselink EntityManager with property
  "eclipselink.jdbc.exclusive-connection.mode" set to "Always",
  calling em.unwrap(Connection.class) may return a null value when
  within a transaction.

  A javax.persistence.EntityManager, using a
  javax.persistence.EntityManagerFactory with the property
  "eclipselink.jdbc.exclusive-connection.mode" = "Always",
  returns a null value from em.unwrap(Connection.class). With an
  EntityManager that is configured to retain an exclusive
  connection it seems plausible that this should return a
  Connection.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR changes the EclipseLink implementation
  and involves an update to the third-party source. See

  This fix is currently targeted for WebSphere Application
  Server 9.0.5.3 and WebSphere Liberty 19.0.0.11.
