APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A transaction abended, was not re-queued, and was terminated
    normally with an IMS x'07' Application Terminate. The abended
    transaction was incorrectly written to the Outflight dataset
    despite the scheduled termination. In addition a number of
    program switch transactions spawned by the abended transaction
    were also written to the Outflight dataset.

    A transaction which abended was incorrectly written to the
    Outflight dataset instead of being reported.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A transaction abended, was not re-queued, and was terminated
    normally with an IMS x'07' Application Terminate. The abended
    transaction was incorrectly written to the Outflight dataset,
    despite the schedule termination, in addition a number of
    program switch transactions spawned by the abended transaction
    were also written to the Outflight dataset.
    Outflight processing now tests to see if an abended transaction
    is complete, also that any associated program switch
    transactions have not been freed before writing.
