PH14258: DB2 ADMINISTRATION TOOL - WSL VALIDATION FAILS FOR COMPARE WITH MULTIPLE TABLESPACES

APAR status

Error description

• When running the Compare that includes multiple tablespaces, a
  spurious error messages like:
     ADB3001E An error occurred while processing the Index
              <indexNmae> object in the statement type of DROP .
              Object does not exist.
  
  However, the WSL does not contain any DROP statements of the
  index. It's dropped implicitly when the tablespace is dropped.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running a CMBATCH job fails during the  *
  *                      analyze process when the number of      *
  *                      tablespaces exceeds four with error:    *
  *                      ADB3001E An error occurred while        *
  *                      processing the Index <indexname>        *
  *                      object in the statement type of DROP.   *
  *                      Object does not exist.                  *

  The number of tablespaces in the compare exceeds the amount of
  records used to store its information in the version file. Upon
  storing the tablespace info, Compare generates multiple DROP
  statements for tablespaces because the incorrect group id is
  saved. Running with WSL_VALIDATE=Y results in error:
  ADB3001E An error occurred while processing the Index
  <indexname> object in the statement type of DROP . Object does
  not exist.
  

Problem conclusion

• The issue has been resolved.
