Error description

  • You are using IPCS to format the CICS Trace Table in a
    dump of a CICSPlex SM MAS.
    The CPSM MAS agent is at CPSM V5.5 (V5R5M0). The CICS region
    is running an earlier release of CICS Transaction Server.
    Running the following command:
        IPCS VERBX EYU9D550 'TRC'
    under IPCS fails to format any trace entries, and produces
    the following output:
    .
    Unable to access data for CICS Trace Data Block at
           00C0000000000000.
    An error has occurred while formatting CICS Trace Data Block.
    No information available for CPSM in CICS trace table.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The CICSPlex SM V5R5M0 IPCS VERBX       *
    *                      EYU9D550 is not able to locate the      *
    *                      CICS TS trace table.                    *
    *                      This occurs when formatting a dump      *
    *                      of a region where the CPSM MAS agent    *
    *                      is running V5R5M0 (V5.5) but the CICS   *
    *                      region is running CICS TS V5.4 or V5.3. *
    ****************************************************************
    The structure of the CICS Transaction Server for z/OS
    Trace Anchor Block (DFHTRA) was changed in CICS TS V5.5.
    Consequently, when the CPSM release differs from the CICS
    release, the CICSPlex SM V5.5 IPCS Dump Formatting verbx
    EYU9D550 is not able to locate or format the CICS
    internal trace.

    Note that this occurs only when using the CPSM V5.5 (V5R5M0)
    IPCS Verbx (EYU9D550) to format the internal trace of a
    CICS region where the CICS TS release is either V5.4 (V5R4M0)
    or V5.3 (V5R3M0).

    Attempting to format the internal trace using EYU9D550 will
    produce the following messages:
    Unable to access data for CICS Trace Data Block at
           00C0000000000000.
    An error has occurred while formatting CICS Trace Data Block.
    .
    The command issued was:
    IPCS VERXB EYU9D550 'TRC'
    

Problem conclusion

  • The CPSM IPCS Verbx EYU9D550 has been updated in module
    EYU0DVAF so that the CICS internal trace table can be
    located and formatted.
