Error description

  • Addition of a parm to support user calculated offset from GMT.
    Problem statement: The STCK value used at a client site does
    not correspond to GMT. For example, from a system in the lab
    using a timezone offset of T TIMEZONE=E.09.00, the output of
    the tso /D T command is the following: RESPONSE=RS37 IEE136I
    LOCAL: TIME=03.46.57 DATE=2019.149 UTC:TIME=18.46.57
    DATE=2019.148 The STCK time on the system captured near the
    time of the /D T command is 0xD630764206C57D13 - This
    05/28/2019 18:48:13.005911 - the time in GMT. The problem at
    the customer site is that the customer is using a GMT time of
    03.46.57 instead of the actual time corresponding to
    GMT(18.46.57). Proposed fix: Create a parameter described below
    which is the offset of the STCK to GMT. This value would then
    be added to the STCK value of the system to generate timestamps
    in GMT. If, using the above as an example and the output from
    the /D T command was  RESPONSE=RS37 IEE136I LOCAL:
    TIME=03.46.57 DATE=2019.149 UTC:TIME=03.46.57 DATE=2019.149 To
    compute GMT corrected timestamps, the TS_OFFSET would need to
    be set to E:09:00. If the offset is subtracted from the UTC
    time of 03.46.57 2019.149 ( i.e. 03.46.57  (+)09.00), the
    corrected timestamp would be computed as 18.46.57.148 which
    would correspond to the GMT value for the time. If the
    parameter is not supplied, the values optional string time = 1;
    // 2010-10-10-10.10.10.000000 optional fixed64 stck_time = 43;
    // GMT Time of the event STCK (store clock) optional bool
    mvs_dlta_sign = 44; // 1byte (01 = negative) optional int32
    mvs_dlta_val = 45; // 2bytes (hhmm) are streamed as-is not
    modified by the fix. If the parameter is supplied, the
    optional string time = 1; // 2010-10-10-10.10.10.000000
    optional fixed64 stck_time = 43; // GMT Time of the event STCK
    (store clock) optional bool mvs_dlta_sign = 44; // 1byte (01 =
    negative) optional int32 mvs_dlta_val = 45; // 2bytes (hhmm)
    time field is adjusted by the value supplied in in the
    TS_OFFSET value. New parameter TS_OFFSET(E|W:HH:MM) E|W east or
    west offset from GMT. ( E is positive, W is negative) HH is the
    number of hours MM is the number of minutes Default is E:00:00
