APAR status

Error description

  • ERROR DESCRIPTION:Ø
Wildcard access might be used if blanks are used within BIC
address. This can result in retrieving too many BIC address
records (potentially all records). Bad response time and OOM
situations might be the result.

Local fix

  • To reduce heap usage, minimize the number of BIC records in the
reference data tables by importing with "dnprpdu -records ubic".

Problem summary

  • Wildcard access might be used if blanks are used within BIC
address. This can result in retrieving too many BIC address
records (potentially all records). Bad response time and
Out-of-Memory situations might be the result.

Problem conclusion

  • Corrected the the BIC expansion processing if the input
parameters contain blanks.
