Problem summary

    * USERS AFFECTED: IBM IMS High Performance Pointer Checker for *
    *                 z/OS Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=HPC2310)      *
    * users who run HD Pointer Checker (HDPC) *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR enhances HDPC to run stand *
    * alone HDPC jobs in an IMS environment *
    * where the IMS management of ACBs is *
    *                      enabled.                                *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
    This APAR enables stand alone HDPC in the ULU and the DLI region
    to use database definitions (DBD) from IMS directory data sets
    instead of DBD libraries when IMS managed ACBs is enabled.
    And this APAR removes the restriction that when IMS managed ACBs
    is enabled and EXEC PGM=FABPPC00 is specified in a stand alone
    HDPC in the DBB region, the IMSACB DD statement must be
    specified.
    After applying this APAR and when IMS managed ACBs is enabled
    and you run stand alone HDPC jobs, the SGLXLOAD library of IBM
    IMS Tools Base for z/OS, V1R6 needs to be specified to the
    STEPLIB DD statements. For information on changes in the user's
    guide, see the following documentation changes.

    When IMS managed ACBs is enabled and you use Integrated DB
    Sensor function in stand alone HDPC jobs, the PTF for APAR
    PH14031 must be applied to IMS Database Reorganization Expert
    V4R1.
    When IMS managed ACBs is enabled and you use the DBD decoding
    function (DECODEDBD=YES) in stand alone HDPC jobs, the PTF for
    APAR PI87558 must be applied to IMS Library Integrity Utilities
    V2R2.
