Error description

  • During EOT processing, a batch application TCB hangs in CSQMEOTC
    due to incorrectly waiting for CSQBTEXT to end.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A batch application hangs during EOT    *
    *                      (end of task) processing.               *
    *                      Until the batch application is          *
    *                      canceled, the queue manager will hang   *
    *                      during shutdown processing.             *
    ****************************************************************
    During EOT processing, CSQMEOTC canceled the STIMER that was
    established to run CSQBTEXT, and depending on the result of the
    cancel attempt, determines whether it needs to wait on
    bloa.wEndECB.
    A small timing window in timer processing can result in the
    result returned to MQ incorrectly indicating the wait is needed.
    This results in CSQMEOTC waiting on the ECB indefinitely.
    

Problem conclusion

  • CSQMEOTC is changed to no longer cancel the STIMER or wait on
    bloa.wEndECB.
