PH13140: XQE-GEN-0002 AN UNEXPECTED EXCEPTION OCCURRED: JAVA.LANG.NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION

Error description

• Customer is running into the "XQE-GEN-0002 An unexpected
  exception occurred: java.lang.NullPointerException" error when
  running their newly migrated report in 11.1.1 on-prem and 11.1.2
  on-cloud. Customer is finding this error in both on-prem and
  on-cloud. This previously worked in 10.2.2 in CQM Mode and fails
  in 11.1.x DQM mode regardless of on-prem or on-cloud.
