Error description

  • The WebContainer threads can go into infinite loops and cause
    the application server to lock up and consume 100% CPU. A
    sample stack trace of a hung thread is as follow:

    A thread safety issue in the JSF SunRI implementation can
    cause WebContainer threads to go into infinite loops,

Problem conclusion

  • The SunRI JSF code was modified to ensure that access to the
    map causing this problem is correctly synchronized.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack WebSphere Application Server
