Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM IMS Tools Base for z/OS     *
    *                 Version 1 Release 6 (FMID: HAHN160) who use  *
    *                 IMS Tools Knowledge Base.                    *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The job hangs up or terminates with     *
    *                      abend U4076 after the IMS Tools         *
    *                      Knowledge Base issues message FPQ3110E. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
    ****************************************************************
    The IMS Tools Knowledge Base detects that the associated client
    slot is in wrong state while processing the server response and
    issues message FPQ3110E ( MSGFPQ3110E ).
    The cause of this problem is that ITKB called from another task
    updates the client slot incorrectly while the client side XCF
    member exit is inspecting the client slot.
    When this problem occurs, the job hangs up or terminates with
    abend U4076 ( ABENDU4076 ).
    

Problem conclusion

  • The following modules and macros have been modified to fix the
    above problem:
    
    - FPQCRMGR, FPQCSLT, FPQCSLTB, FPQCFMX0, FPQCFM6F, FPQCFM60
