PH12054: DB2 ADMINISTRATION TOOL - ALTER TABLE ADD DATE/TIMESTAMP/TIME COLUMN NOT PICKING UP INVALIDATED PACKAGES

APAR status

Error description

• When Analyzing an ALTER TABEL/ADD COLUMN change with data type
  of Date/Time/Timestamp (not null with default), the Analysis
  does not pick up the invalidated packages on the table for
  Rebinds. The option chosen on panel ADB2C11A 'Generate Analyze
  Job' for 'Run REBIND' option is 'M'.

  *                      statements for the packages             *
  *                      associated with the table.              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Compare may not include the necessary REBIND statements for the
  packages associated with a table when ADDING a column of type
  date/time/timestamp. When the column is one of those types and
  has the default value of the current date/time/timestamp then
  the packages on the table will become invalidated. Packages
  that have been invalidated require REBIND statements to
  associate them back with the table.
