Error description

  • Currently, when the administration tool sub-task works in the
DAI SOT address space, only one LOADLIB data set can be used as
TASKLIB. This APAR addresses a requirement for separating the
customized load module members from the product SMP/E target
library. This APAR enhances Administration Tool back-end
modules run in DAI SOT and ISPF to support multiple ATY LOADLIB
    data set concatenations.

    * concatenate them at runtime. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
Before this APAR, only one loadlib data set is referred when
IMS Administration Tool runs in the IBM Tools Base (ITB)
DAI TAS SOT. It is because the loadlib is defined to SATYLOAD
DDNAME in the product registration in the IMS Tools Knowledge
Base repository, and one data set can be defined to SATYLOAD.
As the result, customized modules ATY#OPTS and ATYSTFWD must
be stored in the same data set as IMS Administration Tool
    product load modules.

This APAR PH11257 enhances IMS Administration Tool to separate
a user customized load module library from a product library,
    and concatenate them at runtime.

This APAR PH11257 changes the z/OS back-end modules that run
in the ITB DAI SOT and the ISPF UI. The users who use the Web
interface must apply APAR PH11245 and this APAR PH11257.

To separate the customized module from the product load
    modules, do the following steps:
     1) Store the customized modules to a different data set from
        the product loadlib
     2) Register the customized loadlib name to the SYSLOAD DD
name variable with SCOPE=SYSTEM in the IMS Tools
Knowledge Base repository. The product loadlib must be
defined to the SATYLOAD DD as same as before.
When IMS Administration runs in the IMS Tools Base DAI
SOT address space, the SYSLOAD data set is referred
        before the SATYLOAD data set.

     3) Update the IMS control region and OM region JCLs by adding
the SYSLOAD library to the STEPLIB concatenation, and
        restart the IMS system.

After this APAR PH11257 applied, IMS Administration Tool
still supports the single SATYLOAD loadlib. If users already
have customized the SAYTLOAD loadlib and does not want to
separate into SYSLOAD and SATYLOAD, they do not need take any
    action.

This APAR PH11257 changes the following SATYSAMP sample JCLs
to refer the SYSLOAD data set.
ATY$TSTA, ATY$TSTP, ATYASMOP, ATYASMSF, ATYBATCH, ATYBATRX,
     ATYBMP, ATYBMPR, ATYDLI
If you have customized the JCLs before, change them again after
    applying PH11257.

Apply PTFs of the following APARs with this APAR PH11257:
    - Apply PH11245 to IMS Administration Tool web interface.
    - Apply PH11976 to IBM Tools Base to customize SYSLOAD by
      Setup.
