Error description

• When accessing an application like https://server/abc there
  should be a trailing slash appended so that the URL is
  redirected to https://server/abc/.
  
  This works fine for http (non-SSL) connections, but fails with
  NullPointerException for https when property
  com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.redirectcontextroot = true is set.

  The error requires HTTPS protocol being used with custom
  property com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.redirectcontextroot = true.
  The error is a NullPointerException in
  com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.srt.SRTServletResponse.addSTSHeader.
  The STS Header support was added many years after
  redirectcontextroot and didn't take
  redirectcontextroot into account.  This fix corrects this.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.5.5.19, 9.0.5.0 and 19.0.0.5. The issue is fixed in
  Open Liberty pull request 7313.
