Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server users of * * OpenID Connect * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The OIDC TAI * * sessionCacheTimeoutMinutes property * * is yielding seconds, not minutes * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Install a fix pack or interim fix that * * contains this APAR. * **************************************************************** The units for the sessionCacheTimeoutMinutes property for the OpenID Connect (OIDC) Relying Party (RP) Trust Association Interceptor (TAI) is documented to be in minutes. However, the setting appears to be in seconds. For instance, if sessionCacheTimeoutMinutes is set to 30, the cache times out in 30 seconds instead of 30 minutes.
Problem conclusion
The OIDC TAI is updated to use the sessionCacheTimeoutMinutes setting properly (in minutes, not seconds). The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.16 and 9.0.5.0.
