APAR status

Error description

  • If DB2 is brought up and down frequently in a short period of
time, IIDR CDC for z/OS may attempt to access the DB2 EIB when
it is not allocated.  This can cause a program interrupt 010 or
011, which will eventually cause a diagnostic dump to be
produced.

Problem summary

*                 problems with a connected-to DB2 subsystem.  *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A diagnostic dump may be taken by IIDR  *
*                      CDC for z/OS if the DB2 subsystem to    *
*                      which IIDR CDC for z/OS is connected is *
*                      cancelled.                              *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION: APPLY CORRECTIVE SERVICE                     *
****************************************************************

A diagnostic dump may be generated by IIDR CDC for z/OS if DB2
is cancelled.

Problem conclusion

  • Control areas owned by DB2 will not be referenced by IIDR CDC
for z/OS if DB2 is cancelled.
