Error description

• After converting a decimal dataype to VARCHAR, the result is
  left-aligned, padded on the right with blanks the length of the
  VARCHAR. This APAR removes the padding.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When converting a DECIMAL column in a   *
  *                      Unicode table to VARCHAR, the data      *
  *                      contains erroneous trailing blanks.     *

  When using ALT, Compare, or Change Management to convert a
  DECIMAL column to a VARCHAR in a table that is stored
  in Unicode, the converted data adds extra erroneous
  spaces right of the data.
