Error description

  • This APAR provides a new optional keyword 'IC_ERROR=STOP'. This

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
This APAR provides a new option "IC_ERROR" which IMS HP Image
Copy forces to stop all image copy processes in a step when an
error occurs in one of image copy processes. The option applies
only to the image copy function that is run by FABJMAIN program.

IC_ERROR keyword specifies whether all image copy processes in
a step stop forcibly or not when an error occurs one of the
    image copy processes.
When IC_ERROR=STOP is specified with FASTIC=N or
FASTIC=(opt,FDUMP) and one of the processes is in error,
subtasks may end with ABEND S33E ( ABEND33E ) and IMS HP
Image Copy terminates with ABEND U3988 ( ABENDU3988 ) if the
    ABEND S33E ( ABEND33E ) occurs.

    | The IC_ERROR keyword specifies whether IMS HP Image Copy
    | stops all image copy processes forcibly or not when an error
    | occurs in one of the image copy process.

    | Statements that support this keyword : GLOBAL statement

    | Related keyword: RETCDDSN, SHDW_ERROR

    | Format:
    | IC_ERROR=CONT|STOP

    | CONT : Image copy processing continues even if an error
    | occurs in processes.
    | STOP : Image copy processing of all database data set is
    | stopped forcibly when an error occurs in one of
    | the processes.

    | Default value: IC_ERROR=CONT

    | Usage note:
    | - The process is continued even if IC_ERROR=STOP is
    | specified and an error occurs in the process, when the
    | return code for the cause of error is changed to less than
    | 8 by the Return Code Handling.
    | - If both IC_ERROR=STOP and SHDW_ERROR=STOP are specified,
    | SHDW_ERROR=STOP is ignored.

    | FABJ4600E HPIC FORCES TO STOP IMAGE COPY PROCESSES
    | Explanation: Image copy processes are stopped forcibly
    | because IC_ERROR=STOP is specified and an error
    | occurs in one of the processes.
    | System action: All image copy processes terminate.
    | User response: Correct the error and rerun the job.
