Problem conclusion
This is a roll-up PTF. All APARs listed in the Problem Description are resolved in this PTF. Both library server and resource manager: HOLD (DOC) --------------------------------------------------------------- Also see the "IBM Content Manager Version 8 Release 6 Modification 0 Fix Pack 2 readme" at http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSRS7Z_8.6.0/--> -->readme/CM_8.6.0.2_fix_pack_readme.html for further information. HOLD (DOC) --------------------------------------------------------------- For further information see "Content Manager for z/OS 8.6 - Detailed System Requirements" and choose the "8.6.0.1" maintenance level report: https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/--> clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?--> deliverableId=22A585201B6111E7A99D5014AD6C3D46 HOLD (ACT) --------------------------------------------------------------- You can use the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS Job Configuration tool to upgrade to V8.6.0 Fix Pack 2. If your product level, before upgrade, is at the V8.6.0 GA level, you must select the 'Fix pack upgrade only' panel (panel ID: ICMMFPLV) to customize your upgrade jobs. Enter 7 in the 'Fix pack number before the upgrade' field. If your product level, before upgrade, is not at the V8.6.0 GA level, you must select the 'Version, release, modification, and fix pack upgrade' panel (panel ID: ICMMUPLV) to customize your upgrade jobs. The tool will upgrade your system to the most current fix pack level of V8.6.0. The minimum product level is V8.4.3 or above for upgrading to V8.6.0 Fix Pack 2. You need to customize JCLs manually if they are not supported in the Job Configuration tool. Library server: HOLD (ACT) --------------------------------------------------------------- For newly-installed IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS V8.6.0 library servers, customize and run the ICMMLSCR, ICMMLSLD, ICMMLSBD, ICMMLSGT, and ICMMCACL post-installation jobs at the latest level to create a library server database, as described in the Planning and Installing Your Content Management System for z/OS guide. After you run the jobs, your library server will be at the base level and will require an upgrade to Fix Pack 2. To upgrade an existing IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS library server to the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS V8.6.0 Fix Pack 2 level, perform the following steps: 1. Run the applicable steps of the ICMMLSUP library server database upgrade job, as documented in the comments within ICMMLSUP. 2. Run the ICMMLSBD library server bind job again. 3. Run the ICMMLSGT library server grant job again. 4. Start the work load manager where the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS V8.6.0 Fix Pack 2 resides. 5. Skip this step if ICMMLSU2 job was run during the IBM(R) Content Manager for z/OS V8.6.0 Fix Pack 2 migration. Otherwise, run ICMMLSU2 job to convert RMPASSWORD to RMPASSWORD2 in the ICMSTResourceMgr table. 6. From a command prompt on the computer from which you run the Content Manager system administration client, run cmcfglsi -t comptypes again. (Note - if you have already installed Content Manager for z/OS V8.4.3 Toolkit Fix Pack 2 or later, you may run the command from a Unix System Services shell under z/OS instead.) To revert back to Content Manager for z/OS library V8.5 GA, or V8.4.3, you must run the ICMMLSU3 job. But if you created any new sub component type view after you install V8.5.0 Fix Pack 2 then you need to drop these sub view(s) before you run the ICMMLSU3 job. The V8.5.0 Fix Pack 2 library server must be active in order for the ICMMLSU3 job to run successfully. You must also replace RELNAME1, RELNAME2 and RELNAME3 in ICMMLSU3 before you submit the job. Refer to http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21672831 for related information. HOLD (ACT) --------------------------------------------------------------- The following customizable JCL and data members are modified by this PTF. If you have modified the originals, you might want to compare them to the new versions: ICMMLSLD - Set current version to Fix Pack 2 ICMMLSUP - Set current version to Fix Pack 2 ICMMLSCR - Create table ICMSTEVENTMONITOR Resource manager: HOLD (ACT) --------------------------------------------------------------- For newly-installed IBM(R) Content Manager V8.6.0 resource managers, customize and run the post-installation jobs at the latest level to create a resource manager database, as described in the Planning and Installing Your Content Management System for z/OS guide. Your resource manager database will be at the current level. To upgrade an existing IBM(R) Content Manager resource manager to the IBM(R) Content Manager V8.6.0 Fix Pack 2 resource manager, perform the following steps: 1. UPGRADE - Modify the ICMMRMUP job to run only the steps required to upgrade to Fix Pack 2, and submit it. 2. REBIND - Submit the ICMMRMBD job to rebind plans and packages if your library server and resource manager are in the same LPAR. - Submit the ICMMRMBR job to rebind plans and packages if your library server and resource manager are in different LPARs. 3. GRANT - Submit the ICMMRMGT job. HOLD (ACT) --------------------------------------------------------------- The following customizable JCL and data members are modified by this PTF. If you have modified the originals, you must compare and merge them with the new versions: ICMMRMLD - Set current version to Fix Pack 2. ICMMRMUP - Set current version to Fix Pack 2. ICMMRMBR - Create DB2 alias for table ICMSTRESOURCEMGR ICMMRMDR - Drop DB2 alias For table ICMSTRESOURCEMGR
